State Bank of India SBI has shared new exam pattern and syllabus for SBI PO 2025 exam. If you are preparing for this exam it is important to know syllabus and exam pattern. Here is everything in a easy way.
What is the SBI PO Selection Process?
There are 3 stages in the exam:
- Prelims – First stage, just to check your basics.
- Mains – More detailed questions.
- Interview – A face-to-face talk to see how confident and knowledgeable you are.
SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern (Stage 1)
- Total Marks: 100
- Time: 1 hour (60 minutes)
- Question Type: Multiple choice (you choose the right option)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be cut for each wrong answer

SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern (Stage 2)
The Mains exam is tougher. It has two parts:
- Objective Test (Multiple choice questions)
- Descriptive Test (Write essays and letters)

- What to do? Write one essay and one letter.
- Marks: 50
- Time: 30 minutes
Note: For every wrong answer in the objective test, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
