NTPC CBT-1 Exam 2025: Major Update on Admit Card, Exam City & Centre

Short Description

The Railway NTPC CBT-1 exam dates are out, and students are now in the last stage of their preparation. The exam will start on 5 June 2025, and many candidates are waiting to know their exam city, center, and admit card details.

Let’s break down all the important things you should know.

When is the NTPC CBT-1 Exam?

As per the official update:

  • Exam starts: 5 June 2025
  • Exam ends: Around 23 June 2025

The exam will be held in different time slots on different days.

When Will You Get Your Admit Card and Exam City Info?

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will share:

  • City and exam date info: Around 25–26 May 2025 (10 days before the exam)
  • Admit Card (Hall Ticket): 4 days before your exam date

Example:
If your exam is on 5 June, you will know your exam city by 25 May, and you can download your admit card by 1 June.

Will the Exam Center Be Close to Your Home?

This time, the Railways have tried to give centers near your home — like in your district or nearby city.

In earlier years, many students got centers far away — even 500–800 km away. That made it hard for some to appear in the exam.

Now, the goal is:

  • To reduce travel problems
  • To give exam centers in smaller cities or districts, not just big cities

Note: While most students may get nearby centers, it’s not 100% guaranteed.

What Should You Do in the Last Few Days?

Things you should do:

  • Go through your old notes again
  • Look at the mistakes you made in mock tests and fix them
  • Practice finishing questions on time
  • Focus more on current affairs and general knowledge

Things you should avoid:

  • Don’t start any new topic now
  • Don’t stress out or get scared
  • Don’t compare yourself with others — everyone prepares differently, and it can hurt your confidence

Some Final Tips

  • Your main goal right now is to clear CBT-1
  • But remember, CBT-2 is more important for your final selection
  • Keep calm, stay regular in your preparation, and stay positive
  • On the exam day, don’t panic — revise your notes and believe in yourself
