Who Can Apply? – Eligibility Rules
For Class 1 to 5 Teachers:
- Must have passed Class 12 (Intermediate) with at least 50% marks
- Must have done D.El.Ed or B.Ed in Special Education
- Must have passed BSSTET 2023 (Paper 1)
- Must have a CRR number from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
For Class 6 to 8 Teachers:
- Must have a Graduation degree
- Must have done B.Ed in Special Education
- Must have passed BSSTET 2023 (Paper 2)
- Must have a valid CRR number from RCI
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 47 years
- Reserved categories may get extra age relaxation (up to 10 years), as per rules.
About the Exam
- Total 150 questions (Multiple choice type)
- No negative marking
- Exam time: 2 hours and 30 minutes
- Questions will be from general knowledge, teaching methods, and special education
- The exam may be held offline (OMR) or online (computer-based)

How To Apply Online – Step-by-Step
Step 1: Registration
- Go to the official BPSC website
- Click on “Apply Online for Special Teacher” on the homepage
- A new page will open. If you are a new user, click “New Registration”
- Fill in your personal details carefully
- Click “Register” to complete the registration
- After that, you will get a Username and Password. Save it safely.
Step 2: Fill the Form
- Go back to the login page
- Log in using your Username and Password
- The Special Teacher Application Form will open
- Fill all details correctly
- Upload all required documents (education certificates, photo, signature, CRR certificate, etc.)
- Check the form once again
- Pay the application fee using your preferred online payment method
- Click the “Submit” button to finish
- Download and print the Acknowledgement Slip and keep it safe
